The Golem is represented in ancient stories as an inanimate material given life through supernatural means. They are typically genderless and have no will of their own, though in some more recent depictions they have developed personalities (like Shale in Dragon Age).
Villages[]
The Golem gains +2 when defending, emphasising the Golem's high defence while a Builder in the same Village raises the Golem's power by another 1.
Strategies[]
Given its ability, the Golem is definitely a card that is most useful when defending. By itself, a 2 power is not exceptionally high, but when defending, this is raised to 4 power, creating a formidable defensive wall. If possible, use a Yellow or Green Builder in the same village as a Golem as this will give the Golem an extra power boost even without buildings present.
Alternate Art (Kickstarter Exclusive)[]
While the standard artwork depicts a stone golem, the alternate art appears to be an earth or even bronze golem.
The alternate art is found on the Yellow Golem card.
