AVAILABLE Villages

Scouts were used to search for the adversary on the battlefield. Working alone or in teams, their goal was to move unseen, spotting the best battlefield, counting numbers of warriors, horsemen, etc. They can then bring valuable information to their liege.

Villages[]

The Scout allows you to look at the hand of your opponent, discover what they might have in surprise and make them discard a card at random. The ability is activated even if the scout loses.

Strategies[]

Use her, even if you know you're going to lose a battle. Why? So you can look at your opponent's hand and make them discard, hopefully, a good card. The best way to use the scout is to send her to defend against the players before you so you can make them discard a card and you can pick it up on your turn, if you need it. Nearer the end of the game, the Scout's ability could be even more useful as players might be hoarding their better cards until the end. This way, you have a greater chance of making them discard a card they wanted to keep.

You can win if your opponent tries to attack with a Joker. Alternately, you can hire her, bluffing her strength to psych out your opponent and get them to waste powerful units.

Alternate Art (Kickstarter Exclusive)[]

ScoutALT

The alternate art resembles a Mongol tribesman from the 13th century, with a Hawk companion as his eyes. Hawks were used to scout terrain and find animals to hunt, and they were quite loyal. A famous fable tells of a hawk who gave its life to save his master from drinking poisoned water.

This is one of a few artworks that swapped a card's normal gender.

The alternate art is found on the Orange Scout card.
